When Failure hits, and there you are back in the dark dungeon.

I hate to accept this, but it's not a good feeling to face failures and then spiral way back to the same place where it was too hard to rise back from.

But then that’s life.

And, some people are meant to face failures till they figure a way out of it… Perhaps it takes time, I guess.

If you haven’t read my previous newsletters, then please do so here.

So in the previous newsletter, I talked about how I landed a client for branding and then how I designed it for them.

However, after that, I couldn’t really understand what to do next.

I worked on a passion project for my portfolio, which I'll discuss in the next newsletter. ‘

But even after designing, I got a bit overwhelmed with my own branding stuff.

What colors should I portray with my branding on social media, what fonts should I use, what should be my voice, and what about my website?

Designers will agree with me that designing anything for a client or even for a friend is easier than designing something for yourself.

As a designer, I find it a tough job actually to design things for my own brand.

But I realised, all I need to do is share my journey, pay attention to attracting the right audience and clients’ attention, and not on other factors.

Branding can be improved along the way… It doesn’t need to be fixed in one go.

However, with all the competition and the AI era, it gets a bit difficult to actually have the confidence to show up with your not-so-perfect work.

But isn’t that how it should be?

People will trust you when you show them how you are building and becoming better day by day.

In any case, you are alone in this journey; healthy criticism can even help you to improve faster and become a better version.

But sometimes, just sometimes, you do need that pinch of hope to get back to fight, and most times we lose ourselves to darkness to even see it through.

It’s a tough journey, and I feel most of us go through this.

What do I actually do to deal with it?

Let it sink in, sit with it.

Let the heaviness of failure and disappointment sink you into the dungeon.

And then sit there for some time. Just sometime…

But make sure to sit there and think about your comeback.

How are you going to solve this?

How are you going to figure out a way through this?

You will fail 100 times, but that 101st time that you try will always work out in the best way possible.

I know this because people who are built differently in life will have no maps to follow, no guidance, and all they will have to do is keep trying till they figure out everything on their own through the trial-and-error method

And that’s why most of us take ages to realize the right way of doing things.

I feel I fall in the same category.

And that’s why I am here. Back again, trying and figuring out with the trial-and-error method.

I have a lot of things that I am working on the backend, and really excited to share along the way.

Perhaps, the nervousness is taking over, and I feel I am not ready yet.

But again, don’t let the demons take over you; it is you who decides when you are ready for it.

So keep going and keep growing.

See you next Wednesday with another creative branding story from my portfolio section.

Till then, stay healthy and keep yourself sane enough to work for your dreams.
